Montsagre

This gravel route offers a perfect combination of physical challenges and spectacular scenery. It starts at Hotel SB Corona and follows the irrigation channel on the right side of the Ebro River, an easy and flat stretch to the village of Xerta. Here, the ascent begins to the picturesque village of Paüls, known for its rural charm and surrounded by mountains.  

From Paüls, the route continues to gain altitude until it reaches the summit of Montsagre, a privileged natural viewpoint from where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Terres de l’Ebre area. Afterwards, the descent leads to the road that links Prat de Comte and Arnes, a region which is renowned for its great natural beauty and tranquillity. 

The route continues with the passage through the mythical Coll de Els Espills, an emblematic stretch that offers panoramic views over Terra Alta, before descending to Bot. From here, take the Val de Zafán Via Verde (greenway), a comfortable and spectacular route that goes through tunnels and offers unique viewpoints, such as the view of the Ebro Dam, one of the most characteristic hydraulic features of the region.
